Cancellations, Returns, Exchanges and Refunds

Order Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled in accordance with your consumer rights prior to shipping of your order. If your order has already been shipped, please see our returns policy below.

If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us with your name and order number advising us that you would like to cancel it. Please be advised that orders are subject to a 5% cancellation fee so please choose carefully before purchasing and take note of whether or not the product is out of stock and may have a wait time on it.

Change of mind returns

Return products within 14 days*.

If you wish to return an item because you have changed your mind about your purchase, Skate-Parts.Com will offer you a store credit or refund provided that:

• You return the item within 14 days of your order being shipped;
• You produce your original Skate-Parts.Com invoice/proof of purchase at the time you return the item
• The item has not been used, including:
  • It is in its original packaging;
  • It is unworn, unopened, unused and in its original condition;
  • Any and all accessories are unopened and unused.
  • The product is not one on which a change of mind return is not available (see below).
• Shipping back to Skate-Parts.Com is at your expense.
• A 15% restocking fee will apply.

If these requirements are not satisfied Skate-Parts.Com reserves the right not to offer an exchange voucher or refund for change of mind returns.

*Goods on which a change of mind return is not available

Skate-Parts.Com cannot accept the return of items from the following categories under the change of mind returns policy under any circumstances:

• Orders over the value of $1,000 (including GST)
• DVDs
• Products that have been supplied on “special request” or by "special order".

These products can still be returned if they are faulty or do not match the sample or description.

Other returns

Skate-Parts.Com will accept product returns and provide you with an exchange, refund or repair where:

• The product is faulty or is not of saleable quality on arrival, or
• The product is not fit for its intended purpose, or
• The product does not match the sample or our description, or
• The product is unused and meets the requirements for a change of mind return; and
• you can present your Skate-Parts.Com invoice or other adequate proof of purchase.

Please note, in some cases Skate-Parts.Com may elect to return the product to an authorised repair agent, to the distributor, or to the manufacturer to determine the nature of the problem. If the product is determined to be faulty, not of saleable quality, not fit for purpose or not matching a description, Skate-Parts.Com will offer a repair, exchange or refund at our discretion. The costs of returning a product that is found not to be faulty are your own.

If you cannot present your Skate-Parts.Com invoice or other acceptable proof of purchase Skate-Parts.Com reserves the right not to offer a refund or exchange.

Where you seek a refund for any item that was purchased as part of a 'deal','kit' or 'package', Skate-Parts.Com may refund the price in accordance with deal eligibility. No refund will be given on free items and any refund amount may be recalculated if your return results in deal eligibility no longer being met.

Skate-Parts.Com reserves the right to:

Assess the condition and age of returned goods prior to offering a repair, exchange or refund. This may result in a repair, exchange or refund being refused. Please note:

• Your original Skate-Parts.Com invoice is the best form of proof of purchase
• Refunds will be issued using your original payment method where possible
• Refunds will not be provided for the purchase of gift cards. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash.
• Please return any accessories, tags and/or manuals supplied with product

Our aim is to help and be as fair and reasonable as possible.

GST (Goods and Services Tax)

All prices shown on our website are GST (Goods and Services Tax) inclusive and the total GST amount is shown on order reviews and invoices.

If you are outside of Australia, you are not required to pay the GST. Once you enter your details into the checkout and proceed to the order review, the total price will be calculated excluding GST.

GST is calculated at 10% of the purchase price. As our prices are GST inclusive, to work out the price you will pay if you are outside Australia you will need to divide the price by 1.1 and this should give you the GST exclusive price.

How To Place An Order

Placing an order with us at Skate-Parts.Com is actually really easy, and you don't need to create an account either (it is done automatically for you based on your details if you chose not to).

1. Browse our store

Have a look at the items on our website to find what you are looking for. You can either browse by the item type (for example, complete skateboard, decks, wheels, trucks etc) or by the brand (for example, all products from Z-Flex).

2. Add the items you want to buy to your cart

Once you've found the items you are after, choose your options (for example, some products require you to choose an attribute like deck size or item colour), the quantity you want to order and click the grey "Add To Cart" button. Do this for each item you would like to buy.

3. Review your shopping cart

After you have finished shopping, review all the items that you have placed in your shopping cart. You can do this by clicking the "View Cart" link in the "Shopping Cart" box at the top of the menu bar. From the shopping cart page you can review the items you have added, change the quantity you wish to order, or remove something from the cart that you have changed your mind about. Click the grey "Update Cart" button to save any changes.

4. Continue to checkout

If you are happy with the contents of your cart and are ready to place your order, click the grey "Checkout" button at the bottom of your shopping cart.

Alternatively you can skip the shopping cart by clicking the "Checkout" link in the "Shopping Cart" box in the top left of the menu to jump straight to the checkout.

5. The checkout

Overview

At the checkout you will be required to enter a number of details for your order.

In case you jump straight to the checkout and for your reference while you are entering your details a summary of the items you are purchasing is shown at the top of the checkout.

Customer information

If you aren't already logged in to an existing account you can choose to login. If you don't already have an account or don't want to login, just enter your email address. If you want to specify a username and password for your new account, you can do so here. If you don't want to, just leave these fields blank. An account is automatically created using your email address as the username and a password will be randomly generated and emailed to you.

If you've ordered from us before using the same email address your order will be associated with the account that was created previously.

Delivery information

You will need to enter the name and address for where you want the order to be shipped to. Skate-Parts.Com ships worldwide, however only shipping within Australia is free.

If you have ordered from us previously and are logged in, you will be able to select one of your previous delivery addresses if you wish, or enter a new one.

Billing information

Enter your full billing address. The billing address must correspond to the address listed with your credit card company if you choose to pay by credit card using PayMate or PayPal. If your billing address information is the same as your delivery information, just tick the "My billing information is the same as my delivery information." box.

Calculate shipping cost

If you check the box to indicate your billing address is the same as your delivery address this will be automatically calculated and shown here along with the standard shipping method for that type of product. If they are different or if you have made a change to your delivery address, press the grey "Click to calculate shipping" button and your shipping will be calculated or recalculated and displayed.

Coupon discount

Got a coupon or discount voucher for Skate-Parts.Com? Enter it in the "Coupon code" box and click the grey "Apply to order" button to save it with your order and apply the discount.

Payment method

Select your preferred payment method. We currently accept credit cards through Paymate and PayPal. We also accept direct deposit payments into our bank account (there is usually a 2-3 day wait on this payment method) and other payment options provided by PayPal. Cash on Delivery is available as a payment option for orders under $250 only and will be sent with Australia Post regardless of what shipping method you select.

You should also be aware that postage is not free with the cash on delivery payment method and Australia Post charge an additional fee for the COD service that you will also be responsible for paying.

Where did you hear about us?

This is completely optional, but we do love to know where you hear about us. There are a number of options available in the drop down box, or you can type your own answer if we haven't got the option available.

Review order

Once you have entered all your details and are ready to go ahead with your order, just click the grey "Review order" button.

6. Review and submit your order

Check the accuracy of the information you provided, if there is anything that isn't right, click the grey "Back" button to be taken back to the checkout page and adjust your details.

If everything is correct, click the grey "Submit order" button to place your order.

If you chose to pay with credit card on Paymate this button will read "Submit order to Paymate" and you will be taken to a secure Paymate payment page to enter your credit card details.

If you chose to pay with PayPal, you will be taken to PayPal's secure website to login and make the payment.

An order confirmation will appear on your screen that shows your order number. A confirmation of your order will be emailed to you immediately after submitting your order including your invoice. You can also access your invoice by logging in to your account and a printed copy will be included with your order when it is shipped out.

Postage / Shipping

Shipping is completely free of charge within Australia on orders above AUD $25 when you choose one of our free shipping options! Paid shipping options are also available.

If you are outside Australia, please contact us for a quote on shipping, or proceed through the checkout for a shipping quote with Australia Post. We ship everywhere that Australian Air Express, Australia Post and Fastway Couriers will ship to.

Orders will be shipped within 2 working days unless an item ordered is currently unavailable. If you are unsure about availability, please contact us before placing an order.

Orders will only be shipped to the physical address specified at the time of checkout, please ensure that this address is correct. We do ship to Australian Post Office Boxes, but for all other countries, a physical address is required.

Orders will be shipped within Australia with Australian Air Express, or with Fastway Couriers. International orders will be shipped with Australia Post.

Shipping within Australia

1. Free shipping/Standard shipping: By choosing this option you agree that your order may be left at your delivery address at your own risk if no one is available to sign for it. We recommend using your work or business address if possible to ensure that someone is there when it is delivered, especially for larger items. By choosing this option you indemnify Skate-Parts.com and it's agents against any claim for loss and/or damage relating to any shipped item that is left and agree that should anything be damaged or go missing after it has been left, replacement products will be at your own expense.
2. Express shipping: Sent with Australian Air Express, this option is carried by one of the fastest nation wide carriers in Australia. Your delivery will not be left if a signature is not available, instead, it will be diverted to your nearest post office for collection with a card left in your mail box.
3. Insured express shipping: The same as express except it is also fully insured for peace of mind should something happen while your order is in transit.

If items ordered are not in stock the customer will be contacted within 5 working days if we have been unable to obtain new stock within normal delivery timeframes to advise them of how long it will be before the out of stock items will be back in stock.

Stock Availability

We get asked all the time, "it's listed on your website, but is it in stock if I order it now?" So to help answer this question we've added a new item to every product page.

Just below the price and before the product options such as colour, size or quantity, there is now a note on the stock. It will show one of the following:

2. In Stock: No
3. In Stock: On order

What happens if a product is on order when you purchase it?

If a product is on order, an estimated time of arrival, or ETA will be shown below in the form of:

This is an estimate of when we expect it to arrive based on the time the order was placed and on tracking information we receive from our suppliers. Unfortunately this date cannot be guaranteed.

Once the products we have on order arrive we despatch them out to you with our next shipment.

What happens if a product is not in stock and not on order when you purchase it?

If a product is not in stock, you will normally see the following in the ETA field:

This means that while we don't have it in stock and we don't currently have it on order, we will place an order with our suppliers to get it as soon as you put an order in with us.

The process if a product is not in stock and not on order:

1. You purchase something that is not in stock.
2. We receive your order and contact our suppliers.
3. If our supplier has it in stock we will place an order with them.
4. We will contact you ASAP to give you an ETA on when we expect it to arrive. This is normally around 2-4 week days after we place the order with our supplier.
5. Once it arrives here we will send it out to you with our next shipment.
6. You will receive a notifcation that it has arrived and is now on it's way to you.

If our supplier doesn't currently have the product in stock, then it may be possible to backorder it. If it is not possible to backorder the product than we you can change your order, or we can refund your money in the event that there is nothing else you would like to purchase at the time.

We take payment from you at the time we receive your order. Goods are subject to availability. In the event that we are unable to supply the goods, we will inform you of this as soon as possible. A full refund will be given when requested where you have already paid for the goods if the product is not in stock, or you may wait for new stock to arrive. To ensure that your credit, debit or charge card is not being used without your consent, we may validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third party databases. By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made. In performing these checks personal information provided by you may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency which may keep a record of that information. You can rest assured that this is done only to confirm your identity, that a credit check is not performed and that your credit rating will be unaffected. The price you pay is the price displayed on this website at the time we receive your order apart from the following two exceptions: a) While we try and ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund unless your order has already been packed or shipped in which case a 5% restocking fee plus shipping costs may apply. 13. Purchase Terms and Conditions

13.1 Shipping

If Skate-Parts.Com (“MJB Initiatives Pty Ltd” or “we”) has your product(s) in stock, we will email you a shipping and payment notice confirming that the items have shipped and are en-route to you and that your payment has been received; that notice is our acceptance of your order. In-stock orders (excluding special delivery items) normally ship within 2 business days of placing your order. Out-of-stock orders will ship once the item is back in stock. 13.2 Acceptance of orders

We may limit quantities available for sale or sold, and we reserve the right at any time to reject, correct, cancel or terminate any order for any reason whatsoever. If the price of any product you order was incorrectly displayed on our Website, we will provide you with an opportunity to place an order at the correct price assuming such product is available.
Advertisements on our Website are invitations to you to make offers to purchase products and services on the Website and are not offers to sell. Your properly completed and delivered order information constitutes your offer to purchase the products or services referenced in your order. Your order will be deemed to be accepted only if and when we send an email shipping notice to your email address. That shipping and payment notice email constitutes our acceptance of your order and forms a legally binding contract with MJB Initiatives Pty Ltd., which operates Skate-Parts.Com. The total price of your order will be charged to you.

If an order cannot be filled because the product is not available for shipment (such as backordered or pre-ordered products), customer service will notify you and you will be given the option to change the order, cancel the order or wait for the missing stock to be shipped.

If you wish to cancel an order, you may request a cancellation by calling 07 3103 3465 or emailing info@skate-parts.com. However, if we are not able to receive and process your cancellation request before we accept and ship your order, your cancellation request may not be effective. Order cancellations will be subject to a 5% cancellation fee. Please decide carefully and take note of whether or not the product you are ordering is in stock and whether or not there is a wait time before it can be shipped.

We retain the right to either approve or deny any overseas transaction at our discretion.

All orders placed undergo an internal order verification process. During this process an order may be approved or denied at our discretion.

13.3 Returns, Cancellations and Substitutions

We offer a 14-day return policy, please refer to our Returns section. In the unlikely event that you receive faulty or damaged goods, please refer to our refunds section. Sometimes the product specifications from the manufacturer may change, in which case we will do our best to offer you a similar alternative. We may experience problems with the supply of certain products and may therefore supply a substitute of the same or better quality at the same price. If you are not happy with the replacement or substitute you can return it in accordance with our 14-day return policy. Where applicable, you may cancel your order in accordance with your consumer rights, however, your order will be subject to a 5% cancellation fee. All sizes and measurements are approximate but we do try to make sure that they are as accurate as possible.

14. Online Policies – These policies apply to online sales transactions and are part of the Terms and Conditions of Use

14.1 Methods of payment

You can pay for any purchase you make online by using your American Express, MasterCard or VISA card through our website. You can also pay for any purchase you make online through Paypal, via bank deposit, or by sending us a cheque.

14.2 Purchasing by children under 15 years old and minors

For the protection of our shoppers, it is our policy to not sell to children under 15 years of age. If you are a minor, and wish to purchase from our online store, please have a parent or legal guardian make the purchase for you.

14.3 Errors and misprints

If we make an error, we may correct or cancel an order at any time, and/or edit an order to reflect the correction (you will have the right to approve or confirm any increase in price or shipping charges), and/or correct the error on our Website. In the event that you are shipped an incorrect product, we will accept the return of the unit and provide you with a refund or replacement.
If we discover that a product’s description or specifications are misstated or incorrect, we will endeavor to correct the error.

14.4 Delivery

Delivery is subject to warehouse availability. Out-of-stock items will be shipped as soon as possible, upon arrival from the manufacturer. Please take shipping time into consideration.

14.5 Free shipping

Free shipping is available on all orders over $25 for the first shipment. If your order is unable to be delivered and you cannot be contacted to arrange delivery within the timeframes set out by our shipping providers, it may be returned to us. If your order is returned to us, you will be liable for the cost to ship your order again. Free shipping is only available within Australia. Overseas shipping is charged at the rates quoted at checkout.

By choosing free shipping you agree that your order may be left at your delivery address at your own risk if no one is available to sign for it. We recommend using your work or business address if possible to ensure that someone is there when it is delivered, especially for larger items. By choosing this option you indemnify Skate-Parts.com and it's agents against any claim for loss and/or damage relating to any shipped item that is left and agree that should anything be damaged or go missing after it has been left, replacement products will be at your own expense.

We recommend upgrading shipping to one of our signature required shipping methods if your order should not be left outside at your address.
