Skateboarding as a Means of Transport

If you want to go somewhere and you think that bringing along your car or perhaps your bicycle would be too much of a hassle, then consider using a skateboard instead. It is indeed an unconventional method of transportation but they can be fantastic for commuting, and here are some of the reasons why.

First of all, the activity itself can be simply fun. Walking may also be a pleasant option but the ability of weaving through a crowd quickly can get seriously exhilarating. Furthermore, it is also a very eco-friendly means of getting from one place to the next as it neither requires gasoline nor needs to be charged with electricity.

If you are feeling a bit adventurous, you can even go skitching or skate-hitching. This means having to hold on to the back of a moving vehicle and utilising its momentum for a free ride. However, doing this can be potentially dangerous and must be exercised with utmost caution. Besides, the adrenaline of being able to push yourself around with your board is already enjoyable enough.
